What is A500 pipe?
ASTM A500 is the standard specification for cold-formed, welded and seamless carbon steel structural tubing. Available in three grades, A through C, it is intended for use in construction and structural applications.

What is the equivalent grade to ASTM A500?
ASTM A500 Gr B welded pipe equivalent material can replace other standard carbon steel pipes due to similar mechanical properties. ASTM A500 Class c pipe is preferred for more demanding applications because of its higher yield and tensile strength.

Longitudinal submerged arc welded steel pipes usually use the JCOE steel pipe forming process, that is, the steel plate undergoes four steps of pre-bending, C forming, O forming and E forming, and is gradually formed into a circular steel pipe. This process can ensure the forming quality and accuracy of steel pipes.
ASTM A500 longitudinal submerged arc welded steel pipes have a wide range of specifications and can produce steel pipes with diameters from 21.3mm to 660mm and wall thicknesses from 2.77mm to 25.4mm.
ASTM A500 submerged arc welded steel pipe is mainly used for structural purposes, such as buildings, bridges, towers, lifting and transportation machinery, ships, industrial furnaces and other fields.
