Description
Steel Angles are the most basic type of roll-formed steel. They are formed by bending a single angle in a piece of steel. Angle Steel is ‘L’ shaped; the most common type of Steel Angles are at a 90 degree angle. The legs of the “L” can be equal or unequal in length. Steel angles are used for various purposes in a number of industries. Framing is one of the most common uses for steel angles, but steel angles are also used for brackets, trim, reinforcements, and many other uses. The larger the steel angle, the more weight and stress it can bear.
ASTM A36 and JIS G3192 steel angle is one of the most widely used carbon steel section in the construction industry and project. It is a low-cost material and shows the required strength property compared with other steels. It is popular also for its good weld performance, formable, and easy machining. Galvanizing and other treatment increases its resistance to corrosive environment.
Steel angle bar is often used for large buildings such as factories, high-rise building, etc.), and Bridges, ships, lifting transportation machinery, equipment foundation, support.
Application:
Steel angle is used in wide range of industrial applications, including:
(1) Machinery and Equipment Frames (Braces and Corners)
(2) Transportation Frames and Corners.
(3) General structural use in construction.
(4)Support frames that require welding, riveting or bolting on bridges and buildings.
