A335 P9 alloy steel pipe is a chromium-molybdenum alloy heat-resistant steel produced according to American standards. It has good oxidation resistance, high-temperature strength and sulfide corrosion resistance. It is often used in high-temperature, high-pressure, flammable and explosive petroleum refining equipment. The pipes, especially the directly heated pipes of the heating furnace, can reach a medium temperature of 550~600℃.
A335 P5 alloy steel pipe is also a steel grade in the ASTM A335 standard and can be used in high temperature and high pressure environments such as petrochemical, power generation and oil refining industries.
The material is ASTM A335 P5 high-temperature steel pipe (Cr5Mo), the specification is φ 355. 6 × 19. 05, and there are 8 welding joints; the material is A335 P9 structural steel pipe (Cr9Mo), the specification is φ 73. 0 × 7. 01, welding 56 words. Both materials are medium-alloy heat-resistant steels with high-temperature heat resistance and high-temperature oxidation resistance.
This type of steel pipe has a tendency to be air-quenched and has poor welding quality. It is easy to form very hard martensite and a small amount of bainite after welding. In order to prevent the hardness of the welded joint and the occurrence of cracks, preheating before welding and post-weld heat treatment are required.
