A106B seamless steel pipe is an important pipeline material widely used in the oil, natural gas, chemical and other industries. Due to its high strength, high corrosion resistance, good weldability and machinability, it has been widely used in various engineering fields.
Chemical composition of A106B seamless steel pipe: Chemical composition: carbon ≤0.30, manganese: 0.29~1.06, phosphorus: ≤0.035, sulfur: ≤0.035, silicon: ≥0.10, chromium: ≤0.40, nickel: ≤0.40, copper: ≤0.40, molybdenum: ≤0.15, vanadium: ≤0.08
Mechanical properties: tensile strength: ≥415MPa, yield strength: 240MPa,
Product specifications: outer diameter 21.3mm~762mm, wall thickness 2.0~140mm
Heat treatment: hot-rolled tubes do not require heat treatment, cold-drawn tubes must be heat-treated after the final cold-drawing pass, and the heat treatment temperature is ≥1200 (650℃)
Production method: hot rolling, cold drawing, hot expansion, delivery status: hot rolling, heat treatment.
The forming process of A106B seamless steel pipe mainly includes hot rolling and cold drawing. Hot rolling is to heat the steel billet to a certain temperature and then roll it through a rolling mill to form the initial shape of the steel pipe. Cold drawing is to stretch the steel pipe to the required size by pulling force at room temperature. These two forming methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. The wall thickness of the hot-rolled steel pipe is more uniform, but the precision of the steel pipe is lower; while the precision of the cold-drawn steel pipe is higher, but the wall thickness may have certain unevenness.
In terms of heat treatment, A106B seamless steel pipe needs to be normalized to improve the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the steel pipe. Normalizing is to heat the steel pipe to a certain temperature, keep it for a certain period of time, and then cool it to change the organizational structure of the steel pipe, thereby achieving the purpose of improving performance.
